Invictus Installed PV Rooftop System in Europe for Katoen Natie |
| Published 05 December 2009 |
| Invictus nv built the largest photovoltaic rooftop system in Europe for Katoen Natie. This installation involved an investment of 166 million Euro. Together with Katoen Natie, Invictus believes in a green future. This rooftop photovoltaic system has a capacity of 40 MWp with a rooftop surface of 800.000m², the equivalent of 160 football fields. Clearly this is a milestone landmark in the development towards a better environment and the achievement of the 20% green energy quote that Europe needs to obtain by 2020. This single installation already generates 25% of all the solar energy in Belgium. The Katoen Natie project is part of a series of projects realized by Invictus for a total of 68 MWp during 2009. "The fulfillment of this project proofs once again the knowhow and experience of Invictus in the realization of mega projects in the field of photovoltaic installations. The entire project will be completely operational by the beginning of 2010 and will be finished according strict deadlines and standards, also thanks to the collaboration with our partners of TEC Servicegroup, “ said Jan Van der Henst, CEO of Invictus nv. |
