| Ingeteam has set up sales offices in Toulouse (France), Munich (Germany), Santa Clara (USA) and Ostrava (Czech Republic) all directed at extending the company's international sales activity and after-sales service in the PV sector in these countries. Ingeteam offers an extensive range of grid-connected PV inverters, marketed under the Ingecon Sun brand, with power ratings ranging from 2.5 to 500 kW, in addition to a 1 MW solution for large-scale multi-megawatt projects. The French office in Toulouse is dedicated to the marketing and maintenance of inverters for PV solar installations, being strategically located to provide a rapid, effective service to projects in the south of France. The initiative arose as a result of the growing boom experienced by the PV solar sector in France, where forecasts predict the installation of 5,400 MW up to the end of 2020. The German office is located in Munich, in the region of Bavaria, a region boasting the largest number of PV projects in Germany and which is also home to many companies in the PV sector. This office is focussed on marketing PV products and providing aftersales and maintenance services for PV equipment. The office employs technical personnel and has a warehouse to manage equipment spares. The Ingeteam subsidiary in Ostrava, in the Czech Republic, currently comprises more than 150 employees. For several years now, this office has primarily been focussed on the industrial sector. However, during 2009, this Ingeteam subsidiary has also started to provide PV sales services, coinciding with the boom experienced by this sector in the Czech Republic. Finally, Ingeteam has recently opened a sales office in Santa Clara, California, in the Silicon Valley area, as part of its international expansion strategy and in its endeavour to provide a second to none service to the company's North American customers. Through this sales office, Ingeteam is set to offer a series of products and services directed at meeting the needs of the PV market for residential, commercial and large multi-megawatt installations. This office is complementary to the services offered for some time now by the Ingeteam INC subsidiary at Wisconsin. In order to comply with the North American installation regulations, part of the Ingecon Sun inverter range has already been certified to the UL 1740 standard, with further product certifications expected in 2010. Likewise, taking full advantage of the company's extensive experience in other renewable energy areas, Ingeteam will also offer customised solutions for PV plant service and maintenance in North America. |
