Schletter GmbH announced today that it will begin office operations of its Canadian subsidiary company, Schletter Canada, Inc., in April. By May, Schletter Canada’s manufacturing and distribution facility will be fully operational for order fulfillment, manufacturing, and distribution.

This expansion is in order to best service the growing demand for Schletter’s solar mounting systems. The Canadian office expands the company’s ability to offer local sales and distribution support services to its fast growing base of customers and prospects in the Canadian region. In addition, the expansion will allow Schletter to more easily support their clients’ needs, and meet local-content requirements.

Schletter also plans to hire local employees to work in the operations center, which will house manufacturing, fulfillment, customization and customer care services.

Schletter has chosen Ryan Kelly to serve as General Manager of the Canadian subsidiary. Since 2009, Ryan has served as Manager, Engineering Services, for Schletter, Inc., which is headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. In his new role of General Manager of Schletter Canada, Ryan will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, while continuing to provide top-tier customer service, which Schletter prides itself on.

"We have seen significant growth in our customer base and level of interest in our products and solutions within the Canadian market, and as a result, this has encouraged the founding of our newest subsidiary. Establishing a physical presence in Canada with our new manufacturing and fulfillment center will enable us to best serve the needs of our clients, while saving on production costs, which in turn, allows us to pass those savings along to our clients," said Ryan Kelly, newly appointed General Manager of Schletter Canada ". He adds that ‘from a workforce economic standpoint, Schletter will bring numerous jobs to the region in this time of economic uncertainty, and we pride ourselves in helping to further develop a “clean energy” economy, that will create more and more “green jobs” in the Canadian region.
